In parallelo alla mostra fotografica dedicata alle immagini di Kevin Cummins, viene presentato il progetto del CD A differenti story. Songs by Joy Division , voluto dall’Assessorato alla Cultura e Università del Comune di Reggio Emilia, nell’ambito di Fotografia Europea 2010, come prima Produzione di Spazio Gerra (PSG) in occasione del trentennale della morte del cantante del gruppo dei Joy Division, Ian Curtis.A different Story vede coinvolti 18 band musicali provenienti della scena indipendente reggiana che hanno saputo reinterpretare i brani più della band inglese, attraverso sonorità nuove e elaborazioni elettroniche.
Dal blues springsteeniano di Johnny La Rosa alla new wave elettronica minimale di Judah e Volvo Tapes, dal kraut rock dei Julie’s Haircut al Doom Shoegaze dei Magpie, passando attraverso blues mexicano di Oscar Abelli Quartet, al rock punk di Radio Alice e Mr.Tomato, al pop elettronico di Agata e Mustek, all’elettronica di Dani Male, all’indie rock di Mquestionmark e Rufus Party, l’indietronica dei the Perris, la New Wave di IRRS, Tv Delventre e Brutal Dandies fino al Rock’n’Roll noise dei Radio Stars.
Il CD di tributo alla musica dei Joy Division è una produzione originale Spazio Gerra PSG e viene presentato ufficialmente in occasione di Fotografia Europea 2010 venerdì 7 maggio alle ore 24 presso il locale L’imperfetto di Reggio Emilia (via Pellegrino Nobili 1).
Il CD è in vendita al prezzo di 9,90 euro allo Spazio Gerra di Reggio Emilia.
